17. Issues With 3G RNC overloading 1). Many new brand mobile phones are in automode. 2). BSNL activated 3G services to all the customers (all Prepaid SIM) by default. 3). If the 3G signal is sufficient for mobile to latch, the preference will be to 3G even though the user is not needed 3G/data services. 4). The ZTE 3G RNC is overloaded in signaling plane and data plane. 5).The signaling plane congestion causes a).Outgoing call failure b).Not getting incoming call even though sufficient coverage is in Phone. 6).The Data plane congestion causes a).Low data throughput 7).Since the 3G network is overlay to the existing 2G, chances of getting latched to 3G is more, and many phones are attached to 3G.In Many mobile phones the present network (i.e 2G/3G) is not identifiable if the data service is not turned ON. 8). The data service indication of 3G,H,H+ etc shows the mobile is in 3G network 9).The signaling plane congestion can be reduced if we can push the 3G voice only subscribers to 2G (manually setting to 2Gonly), which will not cause any change in the voice service of the subscribers.
