IB Information & Requirements  Last year IB Biology pass rate 80%, Environmental Systems 79%  External assessments – end of year tests May  Internal assessments – 23% of Bio, 20% of Enviro final IB score  40 hours of lab work  Science research / Science fair (optional)  Group 4 project – Saturday Jan 12 th – MARK YOUR CALENDARS – sign on the notebook, get a volunteer form if necessary

Resources for Success  Pinnacle– check for updates  PlattScience.wikispaces  course related documents  Students should be reviewing notes nightly (20-30 min)  Know the IB syllabus  CAPITALIZE on extra credit  60-70 points or 5-7% of grade (syllabus statement notecards on tests)  Extra help – mornings 6:15-7:20: lunch – Most days: Scheduled reviews (Enviro), Tues lunch (Bio), Tues am  Contact me as needed – jpplatt@volusia.k12.fl.us
