We know that subject pronouns can be the subject of a sentence. We must choose the correct verb form to use with subject pronouns. Let’s try again!

3 I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream!
That’s more like it! Remember these rules: Add –s or –es to a verb in the present when the subject is he, she, or it. Do not add –s or –es to a verb in the present when the subject is I, you, we, or they.

4 Choose the correct verb form to complete each sentence.
They (like, likes) eggs for breakfast. You (buy, buys) twelve eggs. I (crack, cracks) six eggs in half. She (add, adds) some milk. We (mix, mixes) the eggs in a bowl. He (get, gets) the frying pan. You (pour, pours) the eggs into the pan. Click each ice cream sundae to see the correct answer.
