2 Sacagawea Sacajawea: was born into an Agaidika Salmon Eater tribe of Lemhi Shoshone between Kenney Creek and Agency Creek.

3 Sacagawea 1799-1801 ·Sacajawea captured by Hidatsa's. Sold or gambled away to Toussaint Charbonneau, who makes her one of numerous wives.

4 Sacagawea In 1804 Sacagawea joined the Meriwether Lewis and Clark to explore with them. On the journey in 1805 she gives birth to her baby boy Jean Baptiste Charbonneau. Aka Pomp. She traveled in the harsh conditions with him on her back.

5 Sacagawea ·The expedition leaves its winter camp. Sacajawea, carrying Jean Baptiste, accompanies her husband Charbonneau on the journey.

6 Sacagawea On May 14, 1805 On there journey a sudden storm capsizes there boat and all of Sacagawea belongings along with journals and other items. And she takes action and dives in and retrieves the items.

7 Sacagawea Finally they reach the Marias River on June 3 rd 1805. On August 11 th 1805 they finally spot an Indian he is from the Shoshone tribe.

8 Sacagawea Sacagawea helps Luis and Clark trade with the Shoshone Indians and get horses. On September 20 th The expedition emerges from Bitterroot Mountains into Nez Perce territory.

9 Sacagawea November 8 th The expedition firs sights the pacific ocean. Dec 7 th The explorers camp for the winter, start building Fort Clatsop.

10 Sacagawea July 26 th 1806 Lewis's party has skirmish with Blackfeet Indians. August 17 th Sacajawea and Charbonneau leave the expedition

11 Charbonneau buys land on Missouri River from Clark 1811 ·Charbonneau sells land back to Clark. Sacajawea and Charbonneau leave St. Louis area; leave Jean Baptiste with Clark.

12 December 20, 1812 Alleged date of Sacajawea's death at Fort Manuel in South Dakota.
