Digestive System: break down foods for absorption into the blood. eliminating undigested wastes from the body Small intestines is where most nutrients is absorbed.

Skeletal System: Provides shape and support Protects organs Produces blood cells (bones) Protects and supports the body

Circulatory System Carries needed materials to cells (like oxygen and nutrients) Carries waste products away from cells (like carbon dioxide) Carries cells that fights diseases Arteries: carries blood away from the heart to the body Veins: carries blood back to the heart Remember in the “Can you feel the beat?” lab: – the more difficult the activity got, the higher your pulse rate was

Excretory System Collects and removes waste from the body Maintains water and salt balance in the blood Remember in the “flush those toxins” – The “Filter paper”= kidneys – The “Yellow water” = urine – The “Sand” = toxins in blood – The “Beaker” = bladder

Integumentary System The epidermis prevents germs from entering the body Protects body from injury and infection and prevents water loss Produces vitamin D Regulates body temperature

Formation of gas Fat molecules being broken down into smaller molecules
