Irish moss Irish moss is made from seaweed. The seaweed grows on the rocks in Jamaica. It is one of Jamaica's notorious drinks drunk by men and some women who seek “vigor” this drink is also used as a herbal medicine.

Pumpkin rice Pumpkin rice with salt fish is one of the quickest, tastiest dish you could make. People normally make this meal when nobody wants to make a big meal. People love this meal all over Jamaica.

Boiled bananas Jamaican bananas were once a popular export from the island. It is also a favourite fruit by the locals. Green bananas are a cheap, quick and easy side dish for the Jamaicans

The summary Jamaican food is normally locally grown where as in England food travels further and sometimes is even imported from different countries. Because of the different climate the locally grown produce is very different to our locally grown produce.
