Bios-Edgar Freshman Mechanical Engineering Major I have learned programming isn’t for me, but I’m interested in the physical design of robotics Class broadened my horizons, and opened up some future club opportunities Plan to get involved with some engineering clubs and eventually land an engineering internship Not completely sure, but I would like to work on designing machines of some sort…

Bios-Laura 2 nd Semester Freshman Mechanical Engineering I have learned that there may be many different elements to accomplishing a single task. This course has helped me learn about the different engineering opportunities available at UF. I plan to graduate and gain enough experience to succeed in the “real world.” Make a difference and $ Words of Wisdom: Just be patient and keep an open mind.

Bios-Nathan Freshman 2 nd Semester Exploratory Engineering Code is much more complicated than I thought. It can do multiple things even under similar conditions… I want to take more hands on classes. Goal: to graduate and have enough real world experience to land a job that I enjoy. Future Career Plans: Possibly SPACEX or some sort of job that has a point besides money. Wisdom: DON’T BE LAZY

Bios- Ling 2 nd Semester Freshman Before this semester I was going to major in Mathematics. After taking this course, I have changed my major to computer engineering but still considering Electrical Engineering. This class has demonstrated that robotics can be fun. I have learned many things, like how to program the robot. I will definitely get involved in more robotic projects next semester at UF.

Tom’s Story Once Upon a Time, in a Galaxy Far-Far Away, there lived a robot named Tom. Tom is trying to find his way home, unfortunately he is blind. To make matters worse someone has built a maze that he has to travel through in order to return home.

Team Conclusions Overall, each of us learned that there is a lot of trial and error in the programming process. Also, we learned that sometimes things do not go as planned. Words of Wisdom: Take your time and be patient. Be prepared for malfunctions.
