Warm Up What current love songs can you think of – in any popular music style? Can you recall songs sung from the perspective of an impatient suitor to a specific love who hasn’t quite committed himself/herself – or not in the way the singer wants? What songs come to mind that follow this pattern? How is love treated in popular music today?

They used this sophisticated type of poetry to express their feelings and thoughts about love and other subjects
