Low Temperature Microscope Systems Low Temperature Scanning Probe Microscopes SPM is an extremely accurate and versatile technique for investigating nanometer structures. A very fine sensor tip is moved accross the surface in numerous line scans. Due to the surface characteristics, the tip is deflected. This movement can be measured with high resolution. The resulting data allows imaging of the surface structure.
