5 Explore Ted talks For the remainder of class, you will be using an iPad to explore different Ted Talks on “ted.com” The purpose of this talk exploration is to give YOU an opportunity to find new knowledge or a new way of thinking about a topic you’re already familiar with. You will also be sharing this with a classmate, so be prepared to be the “expert” on your talk. After you have picked up an iPad, you will open Safari and go to “ted.com.” Look around, but you only have five minutes to choose the video you will watch. Look for titles that interest you! We’re on a limited schedule, choose a video that is between 12 and 18… minutes. Begin watching your chosen video. As you watch, look for things the speaker says that challenges you, inspires you, brings new meaning to your brain, etc. When you have finished watching your video, turn to the next left side of your notebook… Using this technology is a privilege. Show me you can handle it responsibly.
