UNCLASSIFIED B UILDING S TRONG 11 PURPOSE: Conduct a Rehearsal of Concept exercise focusing on navigation on LRD lakes and rivers. FOCUS: Primary focus will be on transportation of commodities (coal, petroleum, grains) across ~400 miles of navigable waterways (Ohio, Tennessee to include the Great Lakes) post 7.6+ magnitude destructive earthquake and related aftershocks while concentrating on port and waterway restoration, bridge and utility obstruction removal and hazardous waste recovery and disposal as well as debris recovery and disposal to include emergency dredging operations to maintain the required navigation channel. SCOPE: Host a half day NMSZ discussion for USACE only with focus NMSZ planning for FY16 through FY 18 in support of FEMAs National – Regional Planning Strategic Intent Host a one (1) day ROC drill for LRD Area of Operations of all major players and organization. Focus on earthquake, preparedness, response, preparedness and recovery activities with focus on Navigation DATE: TBD – Fall 2015 in Cincinnati, Ohio area LRD Fall 2015 NMSZ Navigation Focus Exercise
