3. 3 OUTLINE Project Consist of 6 outputs on a PLC that maintains a continuous supply of fresh water, food, and treats for small house dogs. It also consist of 4 inputs on the PLC that gives manual control over all 3 major outputs, and a motion detector that controls the project when the dog is near.

5. 5 First OUTPUT  First, The food is dispensed from a gravity feed hopper where there is a mixer at the bottom of the food bowl to give out a small amount of desired dog food.  The Food should last a good two weeks for a average house dog.  The Bowl has a motor that turns to make sure there is a small amount pouring into the bowl at all times.

6. 6 First OUTPUT This output is controlled from the PLC that automatically mixes the food every so often to make sure it gets out to the bowl. This has a manually controlled option so a person can push the first input button and it will turn on the motor for the food mixer.

8. 8 Second OUTPUT The second output is the water filtration system. It uses its own water and re-filters from the bowl giving a continuous fresh filtered amount of water. It is feed from a plumbing system that is gravity feed from the top of the project.

9. 9 Second OUTPUT Same as the last OUTPUT it also has a manual Push button which is the middle push button on the control panel. The push button will turn on the pump for the water filtration. The 4 th input is the motion detector and it will also turn on the water pump when something is near for 5 mins at a time.

11. 11 Third OUTPUT The last output is the amazing Treat Dispensing machine that is gravity feed from a hopper on top of the project. It can tolerate up to two inch treats and gives treats two times a day. Like the others it also has a push button so you can give extra treats when desired.

13. 13 INTRODUCTION Something's you should know: This is made for the man that works all the time and wants to make sure his dog is getting the proper water and food while he is away. Its not recommended for all People.

14. 14 PROBLEM STATEMENT First how does one come up with this idea? Well, $! These parts purchased new are outrages and if you get them off eBay it can be a lot cheaper since other parts on them don’t work and aren't needed.

15. 15 Problem Statement Plus having something that takes care of your dog’s needs while your away is a big relief. Next what kind of contraption can be made to take care of all there needs and be timed and made from simple around the house items.

16. 16 PROPOSED SOLUTION List steps taken to solve the problem such as: Dogs need food, water, and treats PLC’s can produce outputs depending on programs and the desired inputs. The project can be all put in a box that will be incased in plastic glass and give only access to the main outputs of the 3 outputs.

17. 17 RESULTS Results that are in this project are; PLC controlled outputs that give Dogs a treat, fresh food, and water thru-out the day while the owner is gone to work.

18. 18 CONCLUSIONS This project will give a working man the peace of mind while at work knowing that his best friend is at home with plenty of fresh food and water at its disposal. While even getting a treat while he is not there to give his dog one personally. This class has showed me that I can set my mind to make and create anything I desire even if it’s the simplest but complicated project, or the hardest project man has ever thought of. This class has given me the opportunity to create something that will help me dream of bigger projects to come.
