National Flag It started using on December, 17, 1970. The flag uses red, white, and green. White means peace. Red is a traditional color in Arab countries and also means the attacks on invaders. Green means verdant mountains and fertile ground.

The totem on the upper left is a national emblem of Oman. It means Oman will spare nothing to defend their sovereign rights and independents. National emblem

Society&Culture Oman treats their guests in good faith. They always greet strangers on their own initiative and even invite guests to their home.

Society&Culture Oman men usually wear a collarless robe and must wear a decorated knife. Most of women like gold and silver, and they love big flowers.

Society&Culture They are good at singing and dancing. Female is singer, and male is dancer. From painted veil( 面紗 ) to clothing, women are gradually open-minded, and they can go to public places.

Society&Culture Oman people like green. They see green as life. That is a symbol of spring which brings good and happiness. They see cattle as something precious and adore them.

Geography Oman, located at the southeast corner of the Arabian plate, is being pushed slowly northward, as the Red Sea grows wider. The lofty Al Hajar Mountains( 哈賈爾山脈 ) and the drowned valleys of Musandam are dramatic reminders of this.

Climate( 氣候 ) The country’s climate, like its topography( 地形 ) is diverse, with humid coastal( 沿岸的 ) areas and a hot, dry desert interior.
