Creating an Action Button in PowerPoint XP You will need to create all of your slides first. Then you are ready to start making buttons!

Creating an Action Button Select the “Insert” tab. Click “Shapes” from the menu. Scroll to the bottom for the Action Buttons

Creating an Action Button Select an action button from the menu You will be returned to the screen with a set of cross hairs. Click and drag the cross hairs to create a button.

Creating an Action Button The action settings menu will appear. Click the “Hyperlink to:” radio button

Creating an Action Button Select “Slide…” from the menu list of options Select which slide you want to hyperlink to and Click “OK”

Creating an Action Button You now have an action button on screen. You can format your button to match your presentation. Click on the button to select it.

Creating an Action Button To add text to your button, right click on the button and select “edit text”. To edit the button, right-click on the button and select format shape
