March 1971 25th: At Dhaka University, 7000 students and teachers were killed 31st: The army burned areas in Old Dhaka, killing the residents as they came out. They then searched each room in the Hotel Intercontinental, killing the men and raping the women.

April 1971 28th: Secretary of state, Henry Kissinger,
wrote to President Nixon of the U.S. giving him 3 options: Support west Pakistan with food aid, economic and military aid Keep genuine neutrality buy supplying both sides with food, but no weapons. Give serious assistance to help end the war.

August 1971 1st: “Concert for Bangladesh” is held. George Harrison writes the song “Bangladesh” and introduces Bangladesh to the world.

December 14th: Some of the top academic people are killed, never to be seen again. 16th: Bangladesh becomes independent. War is over.
