1 Timeline of the Bangladesh Genocide

2 March 1971 25th: At Dhaka University, 7000 students and teachers were killed 31st: The army burned areas in Old Dhaka, killing the residents as they came out. They then searched each room in the Hotel Intercontinental, killing the men and raping the women.

3 April 1971 28th: Secretary of state, Henry Kissinger,
wrote to President Nixon of the U.S. giving him 3 options: Support west Pakistan with food aid, economic and military aid Keep genuine neutrality buy supplying both sides with food, but no weapons. Give serious assistance to help end the war.

4 August 1971 1st: “Concert for Bangladesh” is held. George Harrison writes the song “Bangladesh” and introduces Bangladesh to the world.

5 December 14th: Some of the top academic people are killed, never to be seen again. 16th: Bangladesh becomes independent. War is over.
