Welcome to MA in English Language and Linguistics and its Application for a Multilingual Society

Part-time, leave of absence and delay in you graduate studies. You can apply for part-time studies and leave of absence. Deadlines for applications: September 1st and February 1st. You can find the application forms here: http://www.uio.no/english/studies/admin/leave-and-part-time/ Absences or delays that are not pre-approved could in some cases lead to you losing your spot in the programme. If you get delayed with your thesis in your fourth (last) semester, you can apply for a 5th semester.

Important deadlines August 13th at 11.59 pm – sign up for courses –The actual deadline is September 1st, but some popular courses can fill up on August 13th. September 1st –Registering in StudentWeb –Paying the semester fee –Signing up for courses, including exams –Applying for leave, part time or delay of studies

How to keep yourself updated Check your student e-mail, and do it often Keep up with Fronter Check for messages on the programme and course websites

Student Card Needed for: –Library –SiO sport centers –As an access key for: reading room and PC lab on the 8th floor the building outside regular opening hours Where to get it: –SiO center (Kristian Ottosens house, behind Akademika) Required documentation: –ID, like your passport or bank card with picture –Semestercard for fall 2015 (obtained after paying the semester fee).
