Dehqan-Technical Overview Dehqan is a sim based mobile application which would be in SIM cards. The Application would be installed on Telecommunication Company’s Application Server and would be accessable through Sim cards of the provider.

Pilot Project The pilot project would be launched on a district of Herat, by installing Dehqan on simple phones of farmers to test and get feedbacks. The pilot project would take one year. 6 months for developing and testing. 6 months for implementing the pilot project. The estimated budget needed for pilot project is about 65000 USD

Future Plan After outcome of pilot project, whole project implementation will start by: Contracting Telecommunication company to provide Dehqan SIM card which the Dehqan application can be accessed. Implementation of project would cover all over Afghanistan.
