8 Checklist for Success Sophomore Year  Pass your classes.  Create a four year plan.  Talk with your counselor about graduation and ‘A – G’ requirements.  Enroll in challenging classes with support from your counselor.  Keep up on your grades! Strive for an ‘A’ or ‘B’ in all your classes.  Any ‘D’s or ‘F’s you will have to repeat the course for UC/CSU  Focus on your English and Math classes.  Attend tutoring if necessary.  Pass Algebra I. Remember that Algebra I can be a ‘gatekeeper’ class, is required for graduation, and is a foundational class for advanced Math and Science classes  Start thinking about your long term goals.
