17 Lesson 4: Sentences A sentence fragment is NOT a complete thought –Missing subject or verb Helped raise money for the team. A run on sentence has 2 complete thoughts that run together –They all worked together the party was a success. Fix a run on sentence by making it separate sentences OR a compound sentence. –They all worked together. The party was a success. –They all worked together and the party was a success.

18 Lesson 4: Subject/Verb Agreement Agreement means sentence parts match. A singular subject needs singular verb. –Daisy plays the violin. A plural subject needs a plural verb. –Chip and Tim play guitars.
