3 Fans are made up of: Existing clients/customers Potential clients/customers People who believe in what you do Your supporters – friends & family

4 There are many different ways to grow your fanbase

5 Invite Your Facebook Friends Down the left hand side of your page you will have the option to invite your Facebook friends to like your page Invite those who are your biggest supporters, existing clients and those who may benefit from or find relevance in your page/business Ask your friends to share your page if they know someone who would benefit from it

6 Create Great Content People like to share content that they enjoy with their friends or content they feel their friends will relate to or find useful, hilarious What is some shareable content you can create on your page? You can’t make people share, however you can provide good content which people will WANT to share!

7 Let Your List Know If you have an email list or database of clients/customers or those interested in what you have to offer – have you let them know about your Facebook page? Give them an incentive to like your page Dedicate an entire email about your Facebook page solely (it doesn’t have to be long!) Include a direct hyperlink to your pageto your page

8 Refer Back to Video 3 Include your Facebook page address in your email signature, business cards, flyers etc Insert a Facebook plugin onto your website List your Facebook page in your work section on your personal profile

9 Run a Competition Offer something of value to your fans Ensure you follow Facebook’s promotion guidelinesFacebook’s promotion guidelines Ensure you are attracting quality fans – ie. those who are your target market vs anyone who wants to win a prize

10 Make your Event or Workshop ‘Social’ How can incorporate your Facebook page into your event or workshop? Can people need to take an action on your page to contribute? Do you share your Facebook page during your event so people know it exists? Create a hashtag # for your event

11 Run a Facebook Ad Campaign Facebook advertising is currently the most effective method of gaining fans Select ‘Page Likes’ from the ad objectives when you start to create an ad Use compelling text and images Target your ads Test and measure What will do you with your fans once you have them?
