5 Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program – Other Things to Consider For most directorates minimum total budget for the five-year period is $400K, or $80K/year. Read directions carefully to determine the limits for your submission. Assistant Faculty can apply up to three times; however, only awarded once. No Co-PI’s or other senior personnel allowed. Once awarded the annual report must be submitted timely to the sponsor or future funding will be held. The word CAREER must appear as the first word in the proposal title. Lots of info on the NSF website (www.nsf.gov).
