Plickers-student response tool Fall 2014
2
Navigate to the Plickers website https://plickers.com/ You will need access to the Internet, a set of Plickers cards, and a device with scanner capabilities such as a mobile phone or Ipad/tablet. Standard size cards: https://www.plickers.com/PlickersCards_2up.pdf https://www.plickers.com/PlickersCards_2up.pdf Large size cards: https://www.plickers.com/PlickersCards_1up.pdf
3
https://plickers.com I used the Chrome browser to create these directions.
4
Enter your information. When I signed up, I did not need to wait for an activation email and could start using the tool right away.
5
On the sign-in page, there is a ‘forgot password’ link. I tested it and had an email to reset my password in less than a minute.
6
Plickers Library The Library is where you create your questions and where they will be stored.
7
Adding Questions On web: ➔ Library tab ➔ Type your question in the top bar (can set as true/false or MC) ➔ Click save ➔ Select classes for this question On mobile app: ➔ Select the class ➔ tap the + button ➔ Enter question information ➔ Tap Done
8
To assign this question to your class, click on the small calendar icon that will ‘add to your plan’. Then select your class.
9
Plickers Reports The Reports tab is where you can see your results. You can also see this analysis by clicking on a specific question in the Library tab.
10
Once you have the question showing, click on the name of your class to see this item analysis.
11
Once you select the class, you will see the results.
12
On the classes tab, you can create your classes.
13
Enter your class information here to get started with your class.
14
I created a test class using our student tech wizards. You simply type each name in the box and hit enter until you have them all added. The student’s name corresponds to a card number, so be sure pass out your cards accordingly.
15
Scanning student cards You scan from the question screen in the mobile app. Your device needs to be in portrait mode. Click on the camera icon to scan.
16
Please note We tested it with students holding it up, but the best scanning was when the card was flat on the desk. If you laminate the cards, you may want to test one and use a matte finish because lamination may affect the scanning process.

Plickers Help Section Plickers has a wonderful help section where directions can be easily printed https://www.plickers.com/help They also offer a support email address help@plickers.com
