Recovery from Corrupted Phone Book Steps Recovery from Corrupted Phone Book Steps Important: Freeline is required to be connected to PC with RS-232 console cable (Serial Cable). Hyper-terminal setting is 38.4kbps with no flow control. 1.Reboot the FL-USA 800 system by recycle of power. 2.While the system is booting, enter “Ctrl C” several times. 3.Fill “root” in the 'Log in' field. 4.You should be presented with “#” prompt (indicating OS mode) 5.Enter “rm pbook” command 6.Enter “reset” command to reboot the system 7.Upload NEW 5.3.5 version SW into the FL-USA 800.

Connect to the system via the Mgt port using Serial Cable and Hyper-terminal on PC. Set bit rate to 38400 Set flow control to None When system boots this screen will scroll text. Enter “Control C” continuously to interrupt normal system boot.

During boot enter “Control C”, System will stop at: freeline login: 2. Type “root” [Enter Key] 3. System will present # 4. Type “rm pbook” 5. Type “reset” to reboot 6. Let system reboot and proceed to upgrade software to version 5.3.5 via Http interface.
