How is human activity influenced by climatic conditions? Good tourist industry in subtropics like Florida Sports are affected: golf – summer hockey – winter Transportation is affected - winter tires in temperate zone School closed during summer season in temperate zone Religious tradition of Christmas strongly associated with winter conditions Clothes - changes with the season Crops, livestock, vegetation and wildlife will vary affecting diet and health and culture Where people live – higher populations in areas with better climates MANY MORE…..

How are climate conditions affected by human activity? The pollutants we put into the atmosphere increase the greenhouse effect – this leads to global warming.

The developed countries are doing the most damage – and have the responsibility to try and reduce the amount of pollutants.

Pollutants cause depletion of the ozone layer – allowing more UV rays in and increasing the risk of skin cancer. Again, developed countries do the most damage.
