What are (I)GCSEs? The (International) General Certificate of Secondary Education Two year courses in Years 10 & 11 which culminates in external examinations. Many of which include internal assessments. Subject syllabi are defined by the examination boards Assessment is on a grade system from A* - U, with A* being the highest. A pass grade is seen by universities to be a ‘C’ grade or above.

2013 Results 100 % of students gained 8 (I)GCSEs or more 74% of grades are A*/A (5% increase from last year) with 92% of grades being A* – B 100% pass rate in English Language and English Literature 100% students achieved A* in IGCSE Foreign Language Mandarin 74% of grades are A*/A in First Language Mandarin 99% of grades are A*/A in Science Triple Award (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) 38% of grades are A* (independent schools in the UK average - 32%)
