Why are we supporting this? Alternative route into nursing Partnership working with local F.E. college “Earn as you Learn” & “Grow your Own” philosophy Access route to RN qualification Qualification in its own right Staff development / career pathway

How does it work? 2 year programme Professional Education funding 1 day per week college release 970 clinical “placement” hours Mentor & student support Pastoral support from College

Fully approved by NMC as a progression route onto pre-registration programme Learning Outcomes are NMC approved “step onto” final 18 months of pre-registration programme End result = BSc in Nursing Studies

Entry requirements Minimum of 12 months service GCSE’s grades A – C Literacy & Numeracy Entrance test Apply via UCAS
