4. FPPC recognized that on a campus of our unique size and disciplinary diversity, no one size fits all Wide range: small centers that focus on themes and events, and large institutes with lab research with external grant activity.

5. FPPC looked at a number of campus policies from other campuses to look for a best practices model. The policy looks complex but it lays out steps for formation, review, and accountability. Once it is enacted, the campus would be compliant and have a clearly defined process.

6. Could have benefits, for example for development of new centers and to exhibit to external agencies the reporting and accountability infrastructure as a viable and valuable structural aspect campus uses of sponsored research and external funding.
