Regions Areas of Earth with main features that make them different from other areas called regions. – A region can be described by its physical features or its human features. Coastal Plain Region Piedmont Region Mountain Region

North Carolina’s Regions North Carolina has three major regions: – Mountain, Piedmont, and Coastal Plain Regions – The Coastal Plain Regions is split into two areas: the Inner Coastal Plains the Outer Costal Plains (the Outer Banks) Outer Coastal Plains Inner Coastal Plains Coastal Plains Piedmont Mountain
