2.   Unhealthy eating and sedentariness induced in the last years a growth of obesity among the worldwide population, including Romania. Thus, fat reduction became a necessary element in beauty and health. Background

3.   The purpose of this article is to study the patient satisfaction and social implications after a monopolar radiofrequency treatment with Energy Flow Control for fat reduction in comparison to other methods. Objective

4.   A satisfaction survey was conducted in the Dermatology Clinic of Târgu Mure in 2013, using 20 questions on 18 patients that underwent a fat reduction procedure that decomposes fat cels into water, glicerin and fatty acids. Material and Method

5.   Exilis, the device used in these cases provided precise delivery of thermal energy for skin tightening and fat reduction.  The technique was applied on the abdomen of all 18 patients and measurements were made before and after every sesion. Material and Method

6.   All patients answered the questions of the survey.  Initially, almost 94.44% of them felt dissatisfied with their weight and appearance. Results

7.   All patients have used other techniques of loosing weight and almost 66.66% of them would rather use this technique instead of others.  Main reason: minimum effort in 58.33% of the cases (in comparison to other methods). Results

8.   88.88% of the patients declared in the questionnaire that they felt satisfied of the results and almost 61.11% felt more pleased about their aspect after the procedure. Results

9.   Almost 55.55% of the subjects declared that they observed an ease in creating and mainteining personal relationships and 44.44% answered that yes, they felt more appreciated in work and society after the procedure. Results

10.   The majority of the patients felt a higher level of confidence and wellbeing. Although 55.55% of the patients admitted they did not follow the exact indications of their doctor, an average of 72.22% would recommend this technique to other people. Results
