Review Carried out Strategic Planning Session at R10 Meeting in Adelaide Theme of “Effective Planning for Regions & Sections” Delegates invited to propose 1 key R10 strategic initiative/project 35 proposals distilled down to top two initiatives: Webcast Talks/Lectures/Seminars to expand reach Benefits in R10 at comparable level available in IEEE-USA

Initiative 1: Webcast Talks/Lectures/Seminars to expand reach R10 is suggested to investigate the infrastructure to facilitate webcasting for DLT (Distinguished Lecturer Training) programs. (How to Cookbook) R10 is suggested to facilitate the webcasting of DLT program. R10 is suggested to webcast pages. Pilot – early phase and assess future success. R10 is suggested to post Region 10 working group, whose members will be Kevin Sowerby, K. Kikkert, Harry McDonald, Lawrence Wong, Kae Dal Kwack, and Renatte Sitte. R10 is suggested to establish costs set-up & on- going.

Workplans Develop detailed workplans for the 2 initiatives at R10 Meeting in Singapore, March 2005 Identify owners for implementation Define resource requirements for Director’s approval Coordination with various R10 Chairs/Coordinators/ Owners to meet Strategic Initiatives outcomes
