What it Takes moves military reality shows in a new direction. Before a Navy SEAL is put behind an M4 rifle, before a sniper can take a crucial shot, or an Air force Pararescueman can recover a stranded pilot, they are pushed to the limits of human performance physically, mentally, and especially emotionally as team members and as individuals.
3
What it Takes is a competition reality series, in the vein of Survivor, that focuses on the training and skill sets that every Special Operations warrior must master before he is ever put behind a firearm or deployed for combat.
4
The intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the ultimate satisfaction of his objectives is weighed, measured, and critiqued every step of the way, not only by his cadre but also by his peers. Most who are eliminated are dismissed of their own volition.
5
Ranger School has phases. Pararescue has “The Pipeline.” Navy SEALS have BUDS. What is Takes has Evolutions. Each step of the competition, from the seemingly mundane, to complex multi-phasic tasks, will demonstrate that in order to be successful, not only do selectees have to perform as individuals they will have to excel as team members.
6
The intensity of each evolution will ensure that each contestant is forced to lean on his teammates and his teammates will be forced to support him as they work toward their ultimate goal. At the end each man, or woman will know if they had What it Takes.
