2. Welcome to St. Peter! Compared to most in our world, we are blessed physically. We live in nice homes and drive newer vehicles. We never go to bed hungry, nor are we ever without clothes to wear. The spiritual danger is that we begin to love things and wealth instead of the One (God) who is the source of all our blessings. We would do well to take the Scripture readings for today to heart as we are warned about greed and selfishness. Rather, may Jesus and his Word of grace be our greatest treasure!
