Thrakomakedones (Greek: Θρακομακεδόνες from Thrace and Macedonia), is a suburb in the northern part of Athens, Greece. The community is entirely surrounded by the Municipality of Acharnes. The Athenian plain lies to the east while the forests of Parnitha and the mountain of Parnitha is to the west. The mountains are situated in the North and Northeast. The area around Thrakomakedones is made up of residential and urban development. The farmlands are to be found around Thrakomakedones, while forests cover the rest of the area including the South, West and East, with a couple of bushes and grasslands.

The area where the town of Thrakomakedones lies today belonged once to residents of Acharnes. In 1948 residents of Athens of macedonian and thracian origin established the association "Macedonia" and bought the area. Until the 1960s and the 1970s, the majority of the population were farmers, since then it has gradually become a residential area, a suburb of Athens actually. It became an independent community in 1979 and, in 2006, a municipality. On September 7, 1999, an earthquake shook Thrakomakedones, causing damage to several homes.

The town has a few schools, lyceums, a gymnasium, a post office and a square. The sports facilities include a tennis court, a 8x8 football pitch and a basketball court. It also has a magnificent view. What's more, you can go walking or mountain biking in the forest north of the town.
