2 2 Disruptive Technologies: Digitization - electronic products & services –can increase reach Mobile devices - ubiquitous computing –World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) – standards for easier access via mobile devices Web 2.0 - 2G of web communities & hosted services for collaboration –increasing social & political impact “Semantic" web - meaning of content labeled for integration –Extensible Markup Language (XML) describes concepts, terms, & relationships
