identify and analyse products. Identify the activities required to create these products estimate the effort required for each & schedule activities into a plan. Analyse risks Finally, this process suggests how the format of plans can be agreed and ensures that plans are completed to such a format. This process builds on the work of the Start Up (SU) activity Project Brief is turned into a business case. Agree how to: o ensure quality on the project o the overall approach to controlling the project o Create Project files & an overall plan for the project. o Create a plan for the next stage of the project. The result given to the Project Board to authorise the project itself. These sub-processes dictate how the Project Board should control the overall project. The Project Board can: authorise an initiation stage authorise a project. Authorise stage plans and replacement of existing stage plans (from slippage or unforeseen circumstances) give ad hoc direction to a project and the way in which a project should be closed down. This process consists of three sub-processes and these cover the way in which a work package should be: accepted executed and delivered. projects should be broken down into stages and these sub-processes dictate how each individual stage should be controlled. Specifies: o the way in which work packages are authorised and received. o the way in which progress should be monitored and how the highlights of the progress should be reported to the Project Board. o A means for capturing and assessing project issues o the way in which corrective action should be taken. o the method by which certain project issues should be escalated to the Project Board. This stage dictates what should be done towards the end of a stage. the next stage should be planned the overall project plan, risk log and business case amended as necessary. what should be done for a stage that has gone outside its tolerance levels. how the end of the stage should be reported. This covers the things that should be done at the end of a project. The project should be formally de-commissioned (and resources freed up for allocation to other activities) follow on actions should be identified the project formally evaluated. Add the processes name to the process description and place in the correct order
