When his invention was used, a larger share of the seed germinated. As a result, crop yields increased even more. The Seed Drill allowed the farmers to sow seeds in well-spaced rows at specific depths. The grain distributor is between the wheels. Invented by Jethro Tull

The thread that the machine produced was coarse and lacked strength, making it suitable only for the filling of weft, the threads woven across the warp. The machine used eight spindles onto which the thread was spun from a corresponding set of rovings. By turning a single wheel, the operator could now spin eight threads at once Invented by James Hargreaves

Flying Shuttle Invented by John Kay Before the flying shuttle wide looms needed two or more weavers to throw the shuttle By using a flying shuttle, a single weaver could produce a wide piece of cloth. The original shuttle contained a bobbin on to which the weft (weaving term for the crossways yarn) yarn was wound. It was normally pushed from one side of the warp (weaving term for the series of yarns that extended lengthways in a loom) to the other side by hand.

Invented by Richard Arkwright The first models were powered by waterwheels so the device came to be first known as the water frame. The water frame was also the first machine that could spin cotton threads The Water Frame could produce stronger threads for yarns.

The Mule was the moving carriage of the Spinning Jenny with the rollers of the Water Frame. Invented by Samuel Crompton The spinning mule gave the spinner great control over the weaving process.

Invented by James Watt Based On a pressure cooker. His machine consisted of a closed vessel filled with water into which steam under pressure was introduced. This Forced the water upwards and out of the mine. Then A cold water sprinkler was used to make steam. This created a vacuum that sucked up more water through a bottom valve.
