4 Quark-gluon plasma 10 -12 s after Big Bang, a soup of quarks, gluons, and leptons. Matter-Antimatter pair production and annihilation.

5 Quarks Come Together: 10 -4 Seconds After the Big Bang Eventually cools enough for composite particles to form from quarks.

6 Continuing Expansion… Atomic nuclei form 10 2 seconds after the Big Bang (electromagnetic vs strong interactions). Atoms form 4x10 5 yrs after the Big Bang.

7 Dark Matter Neutral atoms formed - the photons, no longer scattered by free electrons, decoupled. These photons have been redshifted and are the 3K CMB radiation now observed. Dark matter seeding
