The Marine biome is the largest of all ecosystems. The ocean regions are separated into different four different zones : Intertidal, Pelagic, Abyssal, and Benthic This biome has a great diversity of species.
3
This is where the ocean meets the land In this zone the waves are constantly moving the mud and sand around which makes it hard for different types of plants to survive here. The animals that reside here include worms, clams, predatory crustaceans, crabs, and shorebirds.
4
It’s the open ocean part and is usually very cold. It has some surface seaweed in it for its plants life. For the animal life some mammals including whales and dolphins live here and feed off the plankton There is also different species of small fish.
5
Zone below the pelagic zone but not quite at the very deep parts of the ocean yet. There is some seaweed but not very many considering the light in this zone is scarce due to the depth. Bacteria, fungi, sponges, sea anemones, worms, starfish, and some fish live here.
6
Here is the deepest part of the ocean and since not lots of light can reach here its about 3 degrees Celsius. You will find lots of bacteria who live in this part because of the hydrothermal vents that release minerals that the bacteria love. The bacteria in turn are eaten by the invertebrates and fish that live in this zone.
