GOALS FOR TODAY 1.Identify the role of stress (both good stress and bad) on the physical and mental makeup of a young athlete. 2.Realize that coaches can control the physical stresses we put on an athlete. 3.Recognize how the training principles of variation, and super-compensation, and adaptation can be used to manipulate different stresses. to encourage athlete improvement and a overall willingness to work hard. 4.Learn how to make adjustments to training plans to accommodate unforeseen mental or physical stresses.
