Lessons Learned Faculty Time and Effort → greater workload (especially student communication) Student orientation is important! cannot provide enough written instruction repeat instruction in different formats “Breaking the ice” and ensuring the students that they were not alone in their educational experience is essential up front Assign deadlines for discussion responses Offer exams in a 24 hour period only; flexibility with test scheduling
