Goals should be where the arrows are pointing
4
Creating a soccer field inside a gymnasium is easy for physical educators. By setting up two goals on each end, you may use a basketball court to have the center line be in the middle of the field. The center circle is also there from a basketball court. A teacher can mark the penalty boxes and goalie boxes with tape if he/she wishes, depending on the age of the players.
5
11 players may be on the field at once; one being a goalie. › Goalie can only use their hands in the penalty box. Two separate teams wearing different jersey colors. (Pinnies will work for class) Shin guards/cleats are not necessary during physical education class Duration of the game can be in two halves or in four quarters depending on the age group
6
When a ball goes out of bounds by one team, a player on the other team has to throw the ball back in › Both feet have to be on the ground throughout the throw in, while the player throwing the ball puts it over their head and then throws it forward in The physical educator will have the role as a referee and will call fouls or penalties if needed
7
A player is in the offside position if he/she does all three of these: › Ahead of the ball › in the opponents half of the field › With fewer than two opponents even with or ahead of him/her A player who is in the offside position becomes offside when: › He/she participates in the play

Noodle tag Superheroes Relay Running laps Stretching
9
A pool noodle is cut in half in order to have two taggers Each person gets a soccer ball besides the two taggers The taggers run around trying to hit each persons soccer ball Whenever a soccer ball gets hit by a noodle, the student has to do 10 jumping jacks before returning into the game
10
Each person in the class picks a superhero, half pick good ones and the other half pick bad ones. First, the bad superheroes go after the good ones. Then vise versa. Then it’s a free for all. The bad superheroes have to hit their soccer balls into the good superheroes soccer ball. If this happens, the good superhero has to do 5 push-ups before retunring.
11
The teams will be split up depending on the size of the class Each team will dribble their soccer ball to the other side of the field (if inside) or to a halfway mark (if on actual field) Once returning to where they started, the player will pass their soccer ball onto the next person on their team until the whole team has completed the relay
12
A few laps around the field or gymnasium will help get everyone’s blood pumping and ready for physical activity Stretches are crucial before any activity, especially when it involves a lot of running and muscle movement
13
A teacher can decide which team gets to start with the ball first In real soccer games, there is a coin flip to decide which team gets the ball first and the other team gets to pick which side to play first During physical education, a coin flip will be the only way to avoid conflict
14
The player who begins with the ball has to kick the ball forward to the opposing teams side of the field Once the ball is touched by a player the ball is in play and remains in play until the referee stops the game or the ball goes out of bounds
15
A team will score when they are able to score a goal on the opposing teams goal After a goal is scored, the ball will return to the kick off position and the opposing team who just got scored on will start with the ball
16
The offenses job is to pass the ball up the field in order to score a goal Offense can be the forwards and midfielders who are playing in the game Some midfielders might be used for defense as well
17
Defenses job is to take the ball away from the other teams offense who is trying to score a goal In order to keep a game interesting in physical education, make a line where the defense cannot cross (the center line, for example)
18
Make sure each player is wearing sneakers Set specific rules and regulations for physical education class to avoid accidents/injuries Try to make even teams, skill wise Have a whistle to blow when you need everyone's attention
