How to kick the soccer ball Calls in Fifa (the cards) Positions LET’S GET STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!
4
There are four main positions; forward, midfield, defense, and goalie.
5
Forward is also known as offense These players are the ones who are doing the goal scoring
6
Midfield players are between offense and defense These players are a little bit of everything(other than goalie) They try to keep the ball from getting past them but if they have a chance they will attempt to score
7
These players are closest to their team goalie They try to keep the ball from getting past them and to the goal
8
The goalie is the only player allowed to use their hands They try to stop the ball from going in the net when the opposing team shoots Goalies are also the players to serve punts and goal kicks
9
There are many calls in soccer. Here are some.
10
Cards: In professional soccer, a player gets a yellow card if they trip another player, use trash talk to the ref or sometimes other players(depending on what is said), fake an injury, harass another (or multiple) players, etc. If one player gets two yellow cards in a game, they get a red card and is sat out for the rest of that game. In most tournaments (assuming that team won) the player who got a red card would also have to bench the next game.
11
When the ball goes out of bounds: The opposing team would get to throw the ball in if your team kicked it out and vice versa Corner kick: The only time that rule does not apply is with a corner kick. If your team kicks it out along the line where your goal is, the ball is placed on the corner closest to where it went out and the opposing team gets to kick it in Offside: Offside is when you are behind the last defender when the ball is passed to you. Once the ball leaves your teammate, you can move wherever you want
12
Penalty kicks: If a player is fouled in the penalty area (an 18 yard box around the goal box), that player gets a penalty kick, also called a PK. The ball will be placed where the foul was and the player who was fouled gets to shoot on the goal Free kicks: There are two types of free kicks; indirect and direct Direct kick: A direct kick is when you get to kick the ball where you were fouled(not in penalty box) and you can do anything with it. An indirect kick is when you get to kick the ball where you were fouled(not in penalty box) but another player has to touch it before you kick
