3 Forum procedures After ElectraNet’s presentation, the forum is open to questions from interested parties. Purpose is not to engage in debate on the issues but to provide opportunity to raise any issues with ElectraNet’s proposal or the assessment process A record of this meeting will be made available Please register if you haven’t done so already

4 Introduction Forum held to assist AER in making transmission determination for ElectraNet under Chapter 6A of the National Electricity Rules (NER) The AER will set ElectraNet’s revenue cap for a 5 year period from 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2018 ElectraNet’s revenue proposal, proposed negotiating framework and proposed pricing methodology are available on the AER website –written submissions are invited by 17 August 2012

6 AER’s review process The AER will assess ElectraNet’s proposal against the NER requirements Interested parties can make submissions, which the AER will consider

7 AER’s consultants Consultants will provide advice to the AER on technical issues. The AER has engaged: –EMCa and Strata Energy to advise on capex, opex and service standards –EMCa and NZIER to advise on demand forecasts –Deloitte to advise on labour forecasts Consultant reports will be made available together with the draft decision, for public comment

8 Confidential information Some information provided by ElectraNet is confidential –The AER prefers information to be publicly available, and only accepts confidentiality claims in limited circumstances
