9. Do I really use that much?... Toilets – 3.5 to 7 gallons per flush (Leaks? 200g/d) Faucet – 2 gallons per minute Washing Machine – Up to 50 gallons per load Dishwasher – 20 gallons per cycle Shower – 4 gallons per minute

11. Where does all that water come from? Family of 4 on average could use 400 gallons each day... and this is indoor water use only, but where does it come from? Some houses are on well water, but most water now comes from the city.
