By: Pat Grega, Connor Narlis, Andrew Bacchus Born: Sept 6, 1766 Died: July 27, 1844

What he discovered He discovered the Atomic Theory. The atomic theory was that all things are made of atoms and atoms are the building block of everything. 1.) All matter consists of tiny particles 2.) Atoms are indestructible and unchangeable 3.) Elements are characterized by the mass of there atoms 4.) When Elements react, their atoms combine in simple, whole-number ratios

How Dalton Did it Dalton calculated the atomic mass of elements. He calculated the atomic mass of elements by comparing them to hydrogen which has the atomic mass of 1. Then he knew which elements made up that part of the compound. By using the mass of known element he knew what other elements masses are.

Other Research and Discovery's He calculated atomic mass by knowing what elements were in compounds He was the first to describe color blindness.

Conclusion To conclude Dalton was Important for his work in color blindness, and atomic theories and weights.
