The Brain Frontal Lobe Contains: Prefrontal Cortex Complex thinking, reasoning, emotions and personality. Called the “Gatekeeper.” (Deals with judgement.) Without it we would not have emotions or feelings. Think hard….it’s complex

The Brain Frontal Lobe Contains: Premotor & Motor Area: Movement of the voluntary muscles.

The Brain The Temporal Lobe Where are your temples? Hearing (near ears), meaning of words and vision. Temporal lobe contains the hippocampus (long term memory.)

The Brain Wernicke’s area is in the Temporal lobe. (Left side) Broca’s area is in the Frontal lobe. (Left side)

Sensory Cortex/Somatosensory Strip (Part of the Parietal Lobe. Remember, parents can always sense when something is wrong.) Umbrella term: Any part of the brain that receives messages from a sense organ (like the eyes, nose, tongue, or ears) or messages of touch and temperature from anywhere in the body.
