2. Setting Miranda's house- is where Miranda and her mom live. School- is where Annemarie, Miranda go to school. Jimmy's restaurant - it is where Miranda and Annemarie work at lunch.

3. Characters Miranda- she is the main character. She is 12. Sal- he is also 12. he was Miranda's best friend. He almost got killed. Marcus- he is the kid who punched Sal and is the laughing man in the future. Annemarie- is Miranda's best friend and works with Miranda at lunch. Miranda's mom- is Miranda's mom and is getting married Richard- is Miranda's moms boyfriend but is getting married

4. problem She has broken up with her best friend Sal and now there not friends. She keeps getting mysterious notes and she has to write a note back to who ever is writing the notes She has to make new friends. She has to find out who is writing the notes.

5. Solutions She apologizes to Sal and makes friends with Annemarie and Colin. She writes a note back and leaves it were she found one of the note she also find out what the notes mean. She mad new friends like Colin and Annemarie. She finds out at the game show who is writing the notes. the laughing man is writing the notes or Marcus and he was the laughing man cause he knew about time travel.

6. summary So Miranda's mom comes home and tells her she is going on a game show. Then she keeps getting these mysterious notes saying I'm coming to save your friends life and write me back a letter. Then she notices that her key to the apartment is gone but nothing was out of place. Then Richard asks to marry Miranda's mom. Then she figures out that the laughing man is writing the notes and that the laughing man is Marcus from the future cause Marcus knew time travel was real. Then Miranda's mom wins the game show. Then Sal and Miranda are friends again.
