19 Quick Write  You have been informed that the government has passed legislation that will relocate you and your entire race to another country. What would your reaction be? What things might you take with you? Use Think-Pair- Share to allow for discussion.

20 Task: Analyze primary documents  Read and discuss the documents about the Cherokee Removal Order.  Use the APARTS graphic organizer to guide you as you examine the documents to gather information pertaining to your viewpoint.  Use the information gathered to create a visual representation (poster, chart, thinking map, or a 3 slide ppt,) outlining your group’s viewpoint.  Include your arguments and position on the question of removing the Cherokees.  Remember, you have to convince the others that your way is the right way!  Each group will have no more than 5 minutes to present their view on the situation to the class with no challenges, rebuttals, or interruptions

21 AFTERNOON LESSON DEVELOPMENT Working in your subject area PLC’s develop one plan based on the essential standards that entails using a primary document. Please use the template provided. The lesson plan should be completed and turned in to your principal by Friday noon.
