1 Summary Port Lewaigue is situated on the North East side of the Isle of Man The habitat is a mixture of scrub including Bramble and Gorse and broadleaf trees with conifers at the top end. A Costal site with Cover which gives bird a place to breed and rest and feed while moving on migration. Wintering Warblers from Africa breed here such as, Willow Warbler Chiffchaff and Blackcap. The first year of ringing at this site has proven to be very good with 207 new Birds ringed and 22 Species. 40 Blackcaps were ringed this year some breeding here most caught on migration in September. Due to the Berries in Autumn at this site Blackberries, Holly, Elder, and Rose Hips a good number of Thrushes were also ringed 35 Blackbirds, 8 Song Thrush and 1 Redwing. Sean Gray

7 September 2011 No visits made in August, 2 made in September with 37 new Birds ringed 1 Wren 2 Dunnock 3 Robins 4 Blackbirds 1 Song Thrush 18 Blackcaps 3 Chiffchaff 1 Willow Warbler 2 Goldcrest 1 Blue Tit 1 Siskin Young Blackcap

8 October 2011 5 Visits made in October with 60 new birds ring and a Controlled Sparrow Hawk 1 Wren 1 Sparrowhawk 4 Dunnocks 3 Robins 22 Blackbirds 3 Song Thrush 1 Redwing 5 Blackcap 1 Chiffchaff 12 Goldcrest 2 Long Tailed Tits 3 Blue Tits 1 Treecreeper 1 Chaffinch Female Sparrowhawk ringed as a chick at the Ayres in 2009 recaught here 24/10/2010
