1. OBDScan 4.0 Software ‘Preliminary Release’ For CANScan and OBDScan Copyright © 2000-2005 Harrison R&D. All rights reserved. This presentation highlight some of the feature of our new application software for the CANScan, OBDScan and the forthcoming OBDScan-Universal plus CAN. The software is available in a beta test version now. Many more features are planned for the full release, please stay tuned.

2. Startup Screen – Select USB or COM port Connection type. The program will find all available COM ports 1-10, and highlight the buttons for which an available COM port exists. After pressing either USB or COM button, the software will attempt to establish communication with the vehicle.

3. MAIN screen The MAIN screen will appear after the vehicle to scan tool communication is established. Notice that for CAN bus vehicles you will get both the VIN and the CAL ID for both PCM and TCM if equipped. This screen allows you to scan the Vehicle, read and clear trouble codes and read Freeze Frame data.

4. RealTime Data View and Log The “Meat and Potato’s” of any scan tool is the ability to see live sensor data, Including the fuel trims as show above. The function allows you to select 1,2,3 or whatever number of data items you need to see and watch them in a graphic format. You can choose to save the data in a log file or not.

5. Air/Fuel Ratio Meter The AFR meter can be used on those vehicles with a factory Wide Band O2 sensor. Many of our customers use the AFR for vehicle tuning with a piggyback controller or vehicle re-programmer. You chose to log or not log the data and you can turn on the RPM and Speed independently.
